Digital Marketing/Sales Apprentice

Apply

POSITION OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a fun, creative and ambitious new member of the team to carry out two different and complimentary roles.

Firstly, we are looking for someone with a creative streak and an eye for detail who will work on soft marketing for us. This part of the job is all about great online marketing, you need to be able to use the data we gather from our clients and execute responsive online strategies.

This role is very creative and dynamic, it’s a real learning curve, from basic web skills, to Photoshop, design and data analysis, you’ll be learning a ton while you work. We don’t expect you to know any of this when you start and we welcome people who don’t come to the table with all these skills, we just want someone who’s keen to learn, determined to succeed and more than anything is results driven. When you get this part right, you really see great results.

Sales gets a bad rep but in this case it’s a chance to take on real responsibility and become a serious revenue generator for the company. It’s an active role and we’re looking for someone who has the confidence to try new things and likes meeting new people.

On completion of this apprenticeship the candidate will have gained valuable skills and experience that could then be transferred straight on to the workplace.

Desired skills and experience:

  • Experience working in an office/business environment
  • Someone who has a passion or at least an interest in the industry
  • A Levels / AS Levels

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Marketing:

  • We might ask you to design and coordinate a series of Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns that tie in with our current message and our overall brand.
  • Once confident, designing each part of the ad campaign yourself, choosing the images, creating the layout, and creating an overall strategy for the execution of the campaign, who to target, when to target them, how to convert Facebook views of a video into clicks to website and eventually into orders.
  • You would then manage the project and feed back to us on what was working and be agile about what wasn’t.
  • Using Google and Facebook analytics, draw and interpret information from that data and then present it back to us.

Sales:

  • This part of the job is incredibly dynamic, you’ll be out and about, talking to people about our company. This part of the job is all about great interpersonal skills, having a strong process and a good pitch that’s been well prepared.
  • You’ll start by making a market plan and then you’ll go in person and pitch directly to gain new corporate customers.
  • Resolve administrative problems and enquiries and give written and oral responses to routine enquiries received from external parties.
  • Any other duties as may be reasonably required by the purview of the post.

Key Candidate Attributes:

  • Keen and willing to learn
  • Team player
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to follow instructions
  • Computer literate, including excel skills
  • Confidence, but confidence that comes from good research and preparation. You may not start out confident, but that’s a good thing because confidence is something you develop as you gain understanding and knowledge about a process and a product, we are looking for someone who wants to grow that knowledge about who we are and confidently convey it to potential clients.
  • Bounce back, people don’t always say yes, no matter what you say, being resilient is essential
  • Tidy and on time, when you set up meetings with someone, being on time and looking tidy helps to make a good impression and represents the brand well.
  • Attention to detail, when it comes to web and print, attention to detail over spelling and grammar, the correct dates. makes a big difference
  • Quick learner, by the end of your first three months we’d like it if you had been able to learn how to use Photoshop, Illustrator, mail chimp and power editor. We’ll be on hand to help you learn these skills but we expect that 80% of your learning will be self-driven and in response to tasks you have to complete. This means that part of the job will be being able to effectively onboard new skills in response to tasks using online tutorials and help blogs

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skills in problem solving, organisation and planning
